1987 TREC winning XJ
We are selling the XJ we used for the TREC races a couple of years ago. It served us well, but we do not have the time to be travelling to enter the competition. 2 seasons ago, we finished 2nd in the first race we ran, put in a newer motor and finished 1st in the next race. Only raced it twice, and it has been out only 2-3 other times trailriding after that.
Asking $4500
-1987 Jeep Cherokee Wagoneer
-Bedliner Black both inside and out (I painted the middle orange, but you can brush on whatever you want)
-35" X-terrains mounted on black steel rims
-Dana 44 rear axle with Crown Automotive Chromolly shafts, lock-right locker, Rock-Crusher diff cover
-HP Dana 30 front axle, open, TJ shafts with the larger Alloy USA u-joints, Rock-Crusher diff cover
-Rock Krawler X-over steering, very strong steering setup!
-6" Full Traction Long Arm Suspension, the Jeep flex's well!
-6 point cage, not welded to uni-body but welded to floor with 6x6" plate. Cage has dash bar and back bar.
-Hanson Front Bumper
-Olympic Rock Rear Bumper
- Comes with a smittybuilt winch, not the warn winch in pictures
-Rocker Guards
-Tomken Gas Tank Skid Plate
-Hack and Tap SYE
-Rubicon Express rear driveshaft
-Steel tailight housings with LED's
-3.73 gears, but this has served this very well, especially for the races
- We installed a 1990 4.0L engine in it since we bought it, it runs well.
- Pro-Comp remote resivoir shocks (were essential for the race)
- Warrior trail doors (real front doors are no longer around)
- The unibody frame about the rear axle has been reinforced with steel plates. Bump stops need installed. (not so much for trail riding, but if you are going to drive it fast)
